Swimming is a great workout for everyone! Swimming improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to maintain joint mobility, and contributes to maintaining a healthy weight. In fact, most masters swimmers are able to swim well into retirement age.
Our club members come from a variety of backgrounds. Some swam competitively as youth, while others took up the sport in adulthood. Your coach will tailor each workout to the level that is appropriate for you. No matter your background, your endurance and speed will improve with regular practice and coaching.
Our club meets for Saturday morning coffee at Tim Horton's, and schedules the occasional supper, pot luck or beer night. Many great friendships began in the pool!
